The parking was horrible. The parking space was so tight that I witnessed a car backed and hit the other. When I got inside the bakery i was in an awe as I have been wanting to go there. The servicers at the register were all nice and were friendly. Their pastries and bread were fresh, tasty and delicious. Awesome customer service. They have a variety to choose from. It's far from me that it's worth the drive. Definitely recommend...
Best bread bakery in LA. I am sad they’re so far away from us, but it’s worth the drive. The staff was so pleasant; they were out of mushroom and feta croissants, so I ordered a piece of sourdough with feta on it. “I’m just really craving feta right now,” I laughed with the cashier. When I looked back on the receipt I saw he didn’t charge me for the feta, just the bread ($1.50), and it was a really generous amount, so nice of him! Most places charge $2.00 extra for cheese at the minimum. Not to mention the place smells heavenly; the minute you walk in you’re hit with a perfect aroma of freshly baked bread. Dim lighting and pleasant atmosphere too; and easy parking. lastly, there’s beautiful art in the back worth checking out while you wait for your food. I didn’t eat anything but my boyfriend ordered the nutella bread and he finished it so fast lol. He loves it!
Love this bakery! They probably have some of the best bread in DTLA. The indoor dining is spacious and private parking lot is great for being a spot in downtown. I really like their shakshouka, and their bagels have a fluffy interior and delicate crisp exterior.
I've been coming to the Bread Lounge since they opened... it was great back then, but with a couple years, it has truly refined something already great, into something really special. I've had their take on a meatball sandwich upwards of 20 times and this past visit blew me away. The dining space has expanded with more tables and the service is fast and friendly. Don't be affraid to explore the menu, everything I have ordered has been delicious. I'll certainly be returning next time I'm in the area...oh, don't forget to get a loaf of fresh bread and some crazy good snacks to take home!
The music they play really sets the vibe for the place. The food and pastries are delicious and the staff are all super friendly. You can order ahead online (you're welcome). Try the Jerusalem sesame seed bagel w/dill and capers spread (house spread) instead of cream cheese. The rième sparkling refreshers taste so good!
Had a slice of quiche made by Bread Lounge at a local coffee house, it was impressive. Came to their location and was surprised to learn they offer several varieties and the quiche is an individually baked portion. Had the Kale Mushroom, it’s phenomenal. Best Oatmeal raisin cookies, delicious granola bars and their Hazelnut Espresso bread is the ultimate latte compliment. Thank you everyone at Bread Lounge for such a wonderful experience😊
For years now I have said that this is the best bakery in Los Angeles. Very consistently good over several years. I will always stop in if I’m close by and pick up a croissant or other pastry. Without exception, anything I order is always wonderful. I suggest getting here in the morning if you can and trying a few items. The staff was also exceptionally nice and pleasant.
I was working in the area for about a week and I came here almost every day. And I wish I was closer to here but I absolutely love this location. The staff here is incredible. I cannot say that enough. They were always friendly and always made my experience great. I love the pastries here (especially the pumpkin pie) I would find an excuse to "treat myself" every day just so I could get something. My favorite thing to get what the Jerusalem Bagel with the lox. It was so good. I cannot wait to come back here.
My taste buds are still recovering from the symphony of flavors that is the Parisian sandwich. This place has officially earned the title of my favorite sandwich spot in LA. How do you make a perfect sandwich with just a few ingredients? They’ve cracked the code. If you’re a sandwich lover, this place is an absolute must.
I checked the reviews and headed here using Google map, but I was a bit flustered because I couldn't find the entrance at first. Pro tip: there’s a parking lot and outdoor seating located at the back of the building. Once you head in through the back door, you’re greeted by a clean, wooden interior filled with various breads, jams, canned sardines, and olive oils. They have a great selection of fresh bread and pastries on display. Ordered the iced mint lemonade, and unlike other shops, it was served slushie-style with blended mint and ice. It was refreshing! The pastries were also delicious. Can't wait to try their sandwiches on my next visit.
